We’ve built a life in Wyndham, in Melbourne’s west — family first, always. My wife and I have two kids, and a big part of how I spend my time outside work revolves around them: school, sport, community, the small rituals that make a neighbourhood feel like home.

My son plays competitive junior tennis, which means weekends at courts, long drives to tournaments, and developing a patience for slow points that I’m told is good for me. The Australian Open is a fixture on the calendar — we’ve attended most years as a family.

IPL season has its own dedicated place on the calendar too. Fantasy league standings are taken very seriously in our household.

Roots: Kerala — God’s Own Country

I grew up in Kerala — the land of backwaters, coconut groves, and a culture that takes pride in knowledge, community, and celebration. They call it God’s Own Country for good reason, and no matter how long I’ve called Melbourne home, that connection runs deep.

That’s the heart of my involvement with the Wyndham Malayalee Community Group (WMCG), established in 2008 to preserve Kerala’s rich cultural heritage here in Wyndham. Each year I help organise Onam and Vishu celebrations, educational programmes, and Kalasandhya — our community’s biggest cultural evening. It’s one of those things that asks a lot and gives back more.

Keeping the culture alive for my kids — the food, the festivals, the language, the stories — matters deeply. Kerala will always be part of who I am.

Sunglasses & Style

Style has always been a form of self-expression for me. I’ve built a genuine collection of frames over the years — each pair a small decision about how you show up. The right pair of sunglasses can make an ordinary Tuesday feel considerably better.

Fashion, more broadly, is one of those things I quietly care about. Not in a loud way — just the attention to detail, the craft, the confidence that comes from wearing something that actually fits.

Fast Cars & Tesla

I’ve always been drawn to the engineering and design behind great cars — the way performance and aesthetics come together. My Tesla isn’t just transport; it’s a daily reminder that you can rethink something completely and make it better.

The instant torque never gets old. Neither does the fact that software updates can make your car feel new again. As a data person, I find the whole ecosystem genuinely fascinating.

Delicious Indian Food

Growing up in Kerala means having strong opinions about food. I still believe the best meals in the world are made in someone’s home, not a restaurant — but Melbourne’s Indian food scene comes close enough to keep me exploring regularly.

There’s something deeply grounding about a proper curry. The spice, the complexity, the way it connects you to memory and place. My family knows that a good meal fixes almost anything.

Cricket & Sport

IPL season is a serious affair in our house. Fantasy league, live scores, strong opinions about team selection — cricket is part of how I grew up and it hasn’t loosened its grip. The Australian Open is a family fixture too; my son plays junior tennis competitively.

Sport teaches you things that boardrooms don’t — how to reset after a bad delivery, how to build a team, and how to stay calm when the pressure is real.
